Other mutual cooperation systems by TMG include: dispatch of medical staff by the Tokyo Medical Association, and agreements with private-sector organizations for providing daily necessities, building supplies, construction of temporary housing, etc. Mutual Support and Cooperation1. When an earthquake causes extensive damage over a wide area, efforts by TMG organizations alone may not be sufficient. In the disaster preparedness training conducted by the TMG, we strive to implement practical training with emphasis on hands-on training with participation of residents in firefighting and rescue activities, and we aim to improve disaster preparedness capabilities while deepening cooperation with the citizens of Tokyo, municipal governments and the disaster preparedness authorities concerned.
